The 4300 can operate in two different amplifier configurations: 100 watts per channel ×2 in stereo mode or 40 watts per channel ×4 in four-channel mode, both based on an 8-ohm rated load.

The receiver also features Marantz’s Gyro-Touch tuning wheel, blue illuminated dial, AM/FM tuner, Dolby Noise Reduction, Vari-Matrix circuitry, front and rear pre-out/main-in connections, phono input, and extensive four-channel connectivity.

The Marantz 4300 uses a rear-panel Power Mode switch to select between 100W ×2 stereo operation and 40W ×4 quadraphonic operation.

Important: Marantz specifies speakers of 8 Ohms or higher when operating in the 100W ×2 stereo mode. Do not use 4-ohm speakers in this mode.
