• Custom Black Faceplate / Front Panel: The custom black front panel presents very well overall, with the Pioneer control layout, lettering, tuning display, and meters remaining clear and visually balanced.
• Knobs / Controls / Switches: Original-style controls and switches are present and retain the classic SX-950 layout.
• Dial Glass / Meters / Illumination: The large tuning display and dual meter arrangement retain the characteristic SX-950 appearance.
• Rear Panel / Connections: The rear panel shows light surface scratches and scuffs from normal previous use, especially around the Phono / AUX input and ground-terminal area. The markings remain legible, and the RCA connections and terminals are present as shown in the photos.

The SX-950’s 85-watt-per-channel output makes it suitable for a wide range of compatible vintage passive loudspeakers, including Pioneer HPM-series, JBL monitors, Advent, Klipsch, and similar designs when properly matched for impedance, sensitivity, room size, and listening level.

Use speakers rated 4 Ohms or higher when operating one speaker system. When using two speaker systems simultaneously (A+B, A+C, or B+C), each speaker system should be rated 8 Ohms or higher. Avoid sustained clipping and excessive tone-control boost.
