PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The JBL L40 is a two-way bass-reflex bookshelf loudspeaker from JBL’s classic late-1970s L-Series.
It pairs the JBL 127A 10-inch woofer with the 033 1-inch dome high-frequency driver, crossing over at 1.8 kHz, with a front-panel high-frequency level control to tune the top end to the room. The 10-inch woofer gives the L40 a full, punchy low end and the classic JBL presence.
We restored this pair with careful attention to technical operation and cosmetic presentation, while preserving the original JBL design and voicing.
