PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The Pioneer SPEC-1 is the stereo control preamplifier from Pioneer’s landmark SPEC component series of the late 1970s, designed as the control center of a serious separate-component system.
It offers two phono inputs, dual-turnover bass and treble controls, selectable low and high filters, an attenuator, muting, microphone mixing, dual tape-monitor and duplication functions, and speaker A/B switching through a connected power amplifier. It is a natural partner for the SPEC-2 and SPEC-4 power amplifiers.
We restored this unit with careful attention to technical operation and cosmetic presentation, while preserving the original Pioneer design and character.
