Up for sale is a professionally restored pair of JBL 4344 four-way professional studio monitor speakers,
part of JBL’s classic large-format 43-series monitor family. The system combines a 15-inch JBL 2235H low-frequency driver, 10-inch JBL 2122H mid-bass driver, a horn-loaded compression-driver section with 2307 horn and 2308 acoustic lens, and a JBL slot-radiator high-frequency driver.

This pair features Walnut veneer cabinets, classic blue front baffles, restored blue grilles, front-panel level controls, and rear-panel configuration for internal-network or multi-amplifier operation.

Professional Restoration & Testing

When this JBL 4344 pair arrived, we inspected its mechanical, electrical, acoustic, cosmetic, and overall operating condition.

• Walnut veneer cabinets showed dirt, scuffs, and light age-related scratches
• Top, bottom, and side panels were checked for cosmetic wear and structural condition
• Blue grille assemblies showed worn cloth and damaged mounting hardware
• Rear terminal cups were cracked and no longer provided a secure speaker-cable connection
• L-pad level controls on both speakers were noisy when rotated
• Mounting screws and hardware showed corrosion
• Drivers were checked for cone movement, voice-coil rub, continuity, and consistent DC resistance
• Crossover networks and capacitors were inspected for visible defects and abnormal values

During Restoration

Based on the inspection results, the pair was serviced while preserving the installed JBL driver system and original loudspeaker design.

• Cones, surrounds, and dust caps carefully cleaned and cosmetically refreshed
