Offered here is a professionally restored Sansui 9090DB AM/FM stereo receiver,
one of Sansui’s most desirable large-format receivers from the classic 1970s era.

Rated at 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms, both channels driven,
the 9090DB combines substantial amplifier output with Sansui’s built-in Dolby noise-reduction system,
dual phono inputs, multiple tape connections, pre-out / main-in capability, three speaker-system outputs,
and flexible three-band tone controls.

This unit was restored and fully tested by our in-house HQaudios technical team.
The Walnut wood case shown in the photos is included, and the receiver is backed by our
1-Year HQaudios Technical Warranty.

Professional Restoration & Testing

Before Restoration

Before restoration began, this Sansui 9090DB was inspected for electrical, mechanical, tuner,
Dolby, control, illumination, connection, and cosmetic condition.

Service needs were identified in the power supply and power-amplifier sections.
Several lamps were no longer operating correctly, switches and controls required cleaning,
the rear antenna assembly needed attention, and the original spring-clip speaker terminals were damaged.

During Restoration

Our in-house technicians repaired and serviced the power supply and power-amplifier sections
based on the faults found during initial inspection.

Documented component replacement included:

• 5 × 470µF / 100V electrolytic capacitors
• 1 × 2200µF / 63V electrolytic capacitor
• 2 × 470µF / 35V electrolytic capacitors
• 20 × 2SC1815 transistors
• Failed dial, indicator, and FM Stereo lamps replaced as required
• Input jacks, switches, potentiometers, and push-buttons cleaned and treated
• Rear antenna assembly serviced
• Damaged spring-clip speaker terminals upgraded to modern binding posts
• Chassis, boards, faceplate, and wood case thoroughly cleaned and detailed
• Walnut wood case professionally refinished

After Restoration

• Amplifier operation and channel balance verified
• AM/FM reception and FM Stereo operation tested
• Built-in Dolby FM / Play / Record functions tested
