Produced in the mid-70s, the 9010 model is a European version of the 881 – the once top receiver from Sansui. The receiver was also one of the highest rated on the market, considering its advanced technological solutions. Additionally, the Sansui 9010 is characterized by high power and extremely clear sound, as well as the possibility of adjusting low, medium and high tones. Thanks to this, the listener can enjoy a clear, high-fidelity sound of a wide spectrum: from rich and soft bass to transparent treble. What makes this receiver stand out is the very elegant, multi-texture design. The lower part of the front panel is made of brushed aluminium, whereas the upper one has a smooth, black surface which beautifully matches the scale display in the same colour.

Condition:

This receiver is in “Excellent” condition, displaying minor signs of use with a bright, clear dial. All knobs, feet, and the attached AM antenna and AC cord are present and intact. Although the manual is missing, it can be found online or we can provide a PDF upon request. Please inspect all photos thoroughly for the actual condition.

Service:

Upon inspection, the unit had scratchy controls, a dim dial, and some distortion in one channel. Therefore, it underwent servicing by our technician. Manufacturer used certain transistors in this model that are known to fail after 40 years, so all of these were replaced. This upgrade resolved the distortion issue. Additionally, several questionable capacitors were replaced. 

Testing:

After servicing, the receiver was tested on our bench and performed excellently, delivering a powerful, warm, distortion-free signal characteristic of analog receivers. All inputs, outputs, LED lights upgrade and features were confirmed operational, and the tuner spins smoothly. Additional testing was conducted, and we can provide specific feature information upon request. This is a remarkable find for the vintage audiophile.
