This JBL 4312A studio monitor pair has been fully refreshed and restored by HQaudios to deliver the classic, dynamic West Coast sound in its best possible form. REFURBISHED – COMPLETE RESTORATION PROCESS

1. Woofer Restoration – New Surround Installation

• The original woofers were carefully removed and inspected.
• New foam surrounds were installed, replacing the deteriorated factory foam to recover full bass extension and punch.
• Cones were cleaned of dust and aging marks; dust caps preserved or re-centered as needed.
• Basket edges and gaskets were reset for proper sealing and noise-free movement.
• Each woofer was checked for smooth excursion and accurate low-frequency output.

2. Midrange & Tweeter Servicing

• Mid and high-frequency drivers were opened for cleaning, including magnet gaps, terminals, and faceplates.
• Diaphragms visually inspected to ensure they are original and undamaged.
• Electrical contacts polished for enhanced clarity and reliable signal flow.
• Tone integrity confirmed through isolated driver testing.

3. Crossover Reconditioning

• Crossover boards cleaned of oxidation and dust buildup.
• Solder connections strengthened where necessary for long-term stability.
• Internal wiring paths verified to ensure proper polarity and clean delivery across frequency bands.
• Cabinet damping was refreshed to match factory acoustic response. 

4. Cabinet Refinement

• The 4312A cabinets were cleaned, detailed, and brought back to a uniform professional finish.
• Surface imperfections reduced while preserving original JBL studio aesthetics.
• All structural joints secured to eliminate cabinet coloration or vibration.
• Rear terminals cleaned and tightened.

5. HQaudios Custom Grilles

• Grilles were newly built using high-quality frames for perfect fitment.
• Wrapped in premium black acoustic cloth, closely matching JBL’s studio design language.
• Finished with HQaudios authenticity tag for quality verification.

6. Impedance Verification & Driver Health Check

• All drivers—woofer, midrange, tweeter—tested with a calibrated meter to confirm correct impedance levels.
• Ensures proper load matching and prevents amplifier stress.

7. Final 2-Hour Audio Test

• Completed with reference music and test sweeps.
• Confirms balanced output, tight and controlled bass, open midrange, and crisp treble.
• No buzzing, distortion, or channel imbalance.
