PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Klipsch Chorus is a large three-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed around a 15-inch woofer with horn-loaded midrange and high-frequency sections. Its high sensitivity and vented cabinet design support strong dynamics and high output from modest amplifier power.

Factory specifications list 45 Hz – 20 kHz ±3 dB bandwidth, 101 dB sensitivity, 8-ohm nominal impedance, and 100 W continuous / 1,000 W peak power handling.

This exact pair has a black cabinet finish with matching black grilles and built-in riser bases. HQaudios restored the cabinet presentation, inspected the driver and connection areas, reassembled the pair, and completed final operational testing.

Before Restoration

When we received this Klipsch Chorus I pair, we inspected the 15-inch woofers, midrange horns, high-frequency horns, cabinets, grilles, rear connections, and overall physical condition.

The cabinets showed age-related scratches and finish wear, while the grilles also showed normal vintage use.

During Restoration

We cleaned and refinished the cabinet surfaces to improve the overall presentation while preserving the original speaker architecture.

Grille Detailing: We cleaned and detailed the grille assemblies.

Driver Inspection: We inspected the woofer, midrange horn, and high-frequency horn sections.

Connections & Reassembly: We checked the rear connection areas and reassembled the complete pair for final testing.

After Restoration / Final Testing

We tested the complete Chorus pair after reassembly using real music and checked operation across the full three-way system.

Woofer Output: Both 15-inch woofers produced stable, full low-frequency output during final playback.

Midrange Horn Output: Both horn-loaded midrange sections produced clear and consistent output through the midrange.

Cosmetic Condition

Cabinets / Finish: The black cabinet surfaces were cleaned, restored, and refinished to improve the overall presentation. The finish presents evenly overall, with minor vintage wear remaining on close inspection.

Front Baffles / Horns: The front baffles, horn sections, and woofer surfaces are cleanly presented and retain the original Klipsch layout.

Grilles: Both black grille assemblies were cleaned and detailed. The cloth, frames, and mounting areas present neatly overall.

Riser Bases: The built-in riser bases remain attached to both cabinets and are part of the speaker configuration.

Rear Panels / Labels: Rear terminal panels and identification labels remain present and readable.

Edges / Corners: Cabinet edges and corners present cleanly overall after refinishing, with minor age-related marks still visible in the listing photos.
