The speakers are in Excellent vintage cosmetic condition. The cabinets show normal signs of age and previous use, such as minor marks, light scratches, small veneer imperfections, or corner wear as shown in the photos.

The grille cloths, badges, cabinet corners, back labels, and input terminals are shown clearly in the photo section. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.

HQaudios Restoration & Testing Process

Before Restoration

• The Acoustic Research AR-2aX speakers were carefully inspected upon arrival to evaluate the condition of the cabinets, woofer, midrange driver, tweeter, crossover networks, level controls, internal wiring, and speaker terminals.

• The cabinets, grille frames, grille cloth, badges, terminals, and exterior components were also inspected to determine the appropriate cleaning and cosmetic restoration required while preserving the original character of these classic Acoustic Research speakers.

During Restoration

• Based on the inspection results, the Acoustic Research AR-2aX speakers were professionally serviced and restored according to HQaudios’ technical standards while preserving their original design and classic acoustic character.

• The woofer, midrange driver, and tweeter assemblies were carefully inspected, cleaned, and tested to verify proper operation of each driver section.

• The crossover networks were inspected and serviced based on the condition of this pair to ensure proper frequency distribution between the woofer, midrange, and high-frequency sections.

• The internal wiring, speaker terminals, connections, and solder joints were inspected and serviced based on the condition of this pair to support reliable electrical operation.
