Before Restoration
Upon arrival, this Klipsch Quartet speaker pair was evaluated for its overall cosmetic and operational condition.
The inspection identified cosmetic wear on the cabinets, aging grille material, and an issue involving a speaker terminal and its connecting wires. The passive radiator assemblies were also evaluated as part of the restoration process.
The speaker dust caps showed denting before restoration. The woofer, midrange, and tweeter sections were assessed for operation before cabinet, grille, connection, and dust cap work began.
During Restoration
HQaudios performed the following restoration and service work on this Klipsch Quartet speaker pair:
Speaker Terminal Repair: The damaged speaker terminal and associated connecting wires were repaired to restore the speaker connection.
Cabinet Refinishing: The speaker cabinets were refinished to improve their cosmetic appearance and address previous surface wear.
Grille Cloth Replacement: The aged grille cloth was replaced to improve the presentation of the speaker fronts.
Passive Radiator Refinishing: The rear passive radiator assemblies were refinished as part of the restoration work.
Dust Cap Restoration: We repaired all previously dented dust caps, correcting the dented areas and restoring their shape. Driver Inspection: We checked the woofer, midrange, and tweeter sections for sound output.
Speaker Connections: Internal connection points and the repaired terminal area were checked as part of the service process.
After Restoration
Following restoration, the pair was reassembled for final operating checks. All previously dented dust caps had been repaired.
The refinished cabinets, updated grille cloth, repaired terminal connection, and restored dust caps contribute to the speakers’ improved overall presentation.
The speaker pair retains its original Klipsch Quartet design and 3-way horn-loaded driver configuration.
