Before Restoration

When we received this Marantz 2252B, we performed a complete visual, mechanical, electrical, and functional inspection before beginning the restoration process.

We checked the front panel, controls, switches, meters, dial lamps, speaker terminals, input and output jacks, power cord, chassis, and the internal power-supply, amplifier, and preamplifier circuits.

Inspection Findings: The front-panel switches needed cleaning, the dial lamps and the FM stereo indicator lamp were due for replacement, and the capacitors in the preamplifier section were aged. Components in the amplifier circuitry were also scheduled for replacement.

The inspection results were used to determine the work required for this specific unit.
