PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The JBL 4344 is a large-format four-way professional studio monitor built around dedicated low-frequency, midrange, horn-loaded high-frequency, and ultra-high-frequency sections.
Each cabinet uses a JBL 2235H 15-inch low-frequency woofer together with a dedicated cone midrange, compression driver and horn assembly, and slot-type ultra-high-frequency driver. The system can be operated using its internal crossover network or configured for external crossover / bi-amplified operation.
Technical inspection photographs for this pair document JBL 2121 / 2122H midrange driver models, JBL 2420 / 2421B compression driver models, and a JBL 2405 16-ohm ultra-high-frequency slot driver.
This pair was restored with attention to both operational reliability and cosmetic presentation while retaining the overall JBL 4344 design and operating architecture.

After Restoration / Final Testing
After restoration and reassembly, the pair underwent functional testing under normal operating conditions.
Stereo Operation: Both speakers were operated together as a stereo pair to evaluate consistent left/right output and overall balance.
Controls & Switching: The front level controls were operated through their usable range and the rear internal / external crossover switching was checked during testing.
Driver Output: The documented low-frequency, midrange, high-frequency, and ultra-high-frequency driver sections were evaluated during the service and testing process.
