Sound Character
The Klipsch Heresy delivers the dynamic, high-efficiency presentation that defines the Klipsch Heritage sound — punchy, fast bass, a vivid and present midrange from the horn driver, and crisp, detailed highs.
Thanks to its very high sensitivity, the Heresy comes alive even with low-powered tube amplifiers, while easily handling powerful solid-state amps as well. Vocals and instruments leap from the speakers with excellent presence and energy.
This makes the Heresy highly versatile, performing beautifully with rock, jazz, blues, country, and vinyl playback alike.
HQaudios Restoration & Testing Process
Before Restoration
This pair of Klipsch Heresy speakers was carefully inspected, with particular attention given to the woofers, midrange horns, tweeter horns, crossover networks, input terminals, and cabinet structure.
These components play a critical role in tonal balance, dynamics, and the long-term reliability of the speakers, and are thoroughly assessed to determine the exact condition of each unit before restoration begins.
During Restoration
Based on the initial inspection, this pair was restored according to HQaudios’ technical standards with the goal of preserving the original engineering and sound character of the Klipsch Heresy.
All drivers and horns are tested for full output and tonal balance; the crossover network is checked for stable performance; and the input terminals are cleaned and verified. Components that no longer meet technical specifications are replaced.
Once the technical work is complete, the cabinets, grilles, and badges are carefully cleaned and detailed to preserve the speakers’ original appearance while respecting the authentic character of vintage equipment.
After Restoration
After restoration is complete, the pair undergoes comprehensive functional testing under real operating conditions, including channel balance and full-range output verification.
Finally, the speakers undergo several hours of continuous listening tests in a complete vintage audio system to evaluate sound quality, imaging, and long-term stability.
