Before Restoration
After decades of service, the Pioneer QX-747‘s power supply, four-channel amplifier section, FM/AM tuner, preamplifier circuits, quadraphonic decoder, input selector, volume and tone controls, switches, relays, and illuminated dial system require careful inspection before restoration begins.
For this QX-747, HQaudios paid particular attention to the condition of the power supply, output stage, protection circuit, tuner section, quadraphonic decoder, controls, switches, potentiometers, speaker terminals, RCA connections, and internal wiring.
The amplifier circuits, tuner alignment, signal path, quadraphonic decoding circuits, dial illumination, and front-panel controls were also carefully evaluated to determine the receiver’s overall operating condition before restoration began.
During Restoration
Based on the inspection results, this QX-747 was restored according to HQaudios’ technical standards while preserving its original engineering and performance characteristics.
The power supply, four-channel amplifier section, and signal path were cleaned, inspected, serviced, and adjusted to restore stable and reliable performance. Controls, switches, relays, and connectors were carefully cleaned to eliminate noise and ensure smooth operation.
