Service:

Upon inspection, the unit had scratchy controls, a dim dial, and some distortion in one channel. Therefore, it underwent servicing by our technician. Pioneer used certain transistors in this model that are known to fail for years, so all of these were replaced. This upgrade resolved the distortion issue. Additionally, several questionable capacitors were replaced. 

Testing:

After servicing, this item was tested on our bench and performed excellently, delivering a powerful, warm, distortion-free signal characteristic of analog receivers. All inputs, outputs, and features were confirmed operational, and the tuner spins smoothly. Additional testing was conducted, and we can provide specific feature information upon request. This is a remarkable find for the vintage audiophile.
