PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Tannoy Arden MKII is a large floorstanding loudspeaker built around Tannoy’s 15-inch HPD Dual Concentric driver, which places the high-frequency horn at the center of the bass cone for a single-point sound source.

Each cabinet carries front-panel Energy and Roll-off controls for tailoring the high-frequency balance to the room.

This pair has walnut cabinets with sand-colored grilles and has been inspected, serviced, and tested by HQaudios. The photos show the actual speakers you will receive.

HQAUDIOS RESTORATION & TESTING

Before Restoration

When we received this pair of Tannoy Arden MKII speakers, we performed a complete visual and functional inspection before beginning service.

Each driver was checked for coil rub, the drivers were checked for proper DC continuity, and the crossover capacitors were measured to confirm they were within 10% tolerance.

We also checked the cabinets, grilles, Energy and Roll-off controls, input terminals and internal wiring.

The inspection results were used to determine the work required for this specific pair.

During Restoration

Based on the inspection results, this pair was serviced according to HQaudios’ technical standards while preserving the original Tannoy design.

Drivers: All drivers retain their original cones and diaphragms, which are in good condition.

Level Controls: The Energy and Roll-off controls were cleaned and checked.

Terminals & Wiring: The input terminals and internal wiring were checked.

Cabinets: The cabinets were cleaned and detailed.

After Restoration / Final Testing

Once service was completed, the pair underwent final testing.

Phase Check: Polarity was checked on both speakers.

Level Controls: The Energy and Roll-off controls were operated through their full range.

Listening Test: The pair was evaluated with real music playback to confirm overall performance.

Final QC: Every pair must pass HQaudios’ final quality-control check before it is approved for sale.
