Sound Character

The Thiel CS 2.0 is famously described as a “window into the recording studio.” It does not add artificial warmth or coloration; instead, it presents the music with absolute truth and astonishing clarity.

Thanks to the time-aligned baffle and first-order crossovers, the stereo imaging is almost holographic. You can close your eyes and physically point to where the vocalist is standing, where the drum kit is positioned, and hear the acoustic reflections of the room they were recorded in. • Placement is critical: Pull the speakers at least 2 to 3 feet away from the front wall and side walls to allow the holographic soundstage to fully develop.
• Use high-end, properly gauged speaker cables capable of handling high current.
• Avoid driving the speakers with an amplifier that is clipping or operating beyond its capabilities, as sustained clipping can damage the high-frequency drivers.
