The SA-9100 combines a full-featured stereo preamplifier and direct-coupled power amplifier within one substantial chassis. Its amplifier section is rated at 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms or 75 watts per channel into 4 ohms from 20 Hz to 20 kHz with both channels driven.

Sound Character

The Pioneer SA-9100 offers a clean, controlled, and highly flexible vintage presentation.

Its direct-coupled power amplifier provides firm bass control, clear midrange reproduction, and good transient response. The amplifier has enough output for many medium-size and larger vintage speakers while maintaining the refined character expected from an upper-tier Pioneer integrated amplifier.

Important Vintage Audio Note

This is a vintage integrated amplifier and must be used with adequate ventilation.

Do not cover the upper ventilation grille or place the amplifier inside a tightly enclosed cabinet.

Confirm the rear voltage label or selector before connecting the amplifier to AC power.

Use speakers rated between 4 and 16 ohms. When using two speaker pairs simultaneously, each pair should be rated at 8 ohms or higher.

Switch the amplifier off before connecting or disconnecting speakers or source components.

Because this is a heavy vintage component, careful handling is recommended when unpacking or positioning it.
