Introduced in 1994 and produced through 1996, the CF-1 is a two-way floorstanding loudspeaker built around Klipsch’s high-efficiency Controlled Focus design. Each cabinet combines a 90 x 60-degree Tractrix horn with two 6.5-inch woofers in a front-ported bass-reflex enclosure.

This pair underwent documented driver, crossover, cabinet, and functional inspection. The cabinets were cleaned and refinished while preserving their original color character, and a new matching pair of Klipsch logos was installed.

Its horn-loaded compression driver provides clear projection, strong vocal presence, and fast transient response. The dual 6.5-inch woofers add controlled midbass impact while maintaining good speed and definition.

Important Vintage Audio Note

These are vintage loudspeakers manufactured during the mid-1990s. Minor cosmetic signs of age should be expected.

The CF-1 is a high-sensitivity speaker and can play loudly with relatively modest amplifier power. Excessive volume, amplifier clipping, incorrect wiring, or unstable amplification can still damage the drivers.

Use properly terminated speaker cables, confirm correct polarity, and avoid connecting or disconnecting the speakers while the amplifier is powered on.
