REFURBISHED

This TEAC 2300S Reel-to-Reel Tape Deck has been professionally restored and calibrated by our restoration team. Every function was verified, every mechanism rebuilt, and the deck re-aligned to perform exactly as TEAC intended.

1. Mechanical Restoration

• Transport system completely disassembled, cleaned, and re-lubricated — including capstan, pinch roller, reel hubs, and tension arms.
• New genuine drive belt and pinch roller installed.
• Brake bands cleaned and re-balanced for smooth and silent tape handling.
• Capstan motor bearings cleaned and lubricated for steady wow & flutter performance.
• Reel tables leveled and torque-calibrated for even take-up and supply tension.

2. Electronic Restoration

• All electrolytic capacitors in power supply, amplifier, and bias circuits replaced with Nichicon Fine Gold / Panasonic FC audio-grade parts.
• Bias, EQ, and playback levels adjusted using MRL calibration tape and oscilloscope for both 7½ IPS and 3¾ IPS speeds.
• Line output and channel balance matched within ±0.2 dB.
• Record and playback heads demagnetized and azimuth-aligned for optimal stereo imaging.

3. Cosmetic Refinement

• Front brushed-aluminum panel detailed and polished to restore its classic satin finish.
• Knobs and switches ultrasonically cleaned and polished.
• Walnut wood side panels cleaned, re-oiled, and sealed in satin finish to highlight the natural grain.
• Rear panel fully detailed; input/output RCA jacks de-oxidized with DeoxIT D5.

4. Final QC & Test Run

• Machine underwent 3-hour playback and record run to confirm heat balance, wow & flutter, and channel stability..
